Anecdote about Development

Nihonbashi-bijin Nori series

Nori (dried laver) had been a luxury item that most people could not afford until about 1935. After being stably produced and widely marketed, nori became a gift for someone special. Today, various types of nori from high quality to everyday products are available and used for different purposes, including dining, snacks, and nibblies.

Yamamoto Noriten, established in 1849, is an old, established store that offers the original taste of nori in this modern day. At the main shop located in Nihonbashi, you are welcomed by an entrance curtain with the Chinese character for ume (plum). This is because the fragrance of nori is valued just like plums. Also, the highest quality nori was picked on cold days when plum flowers were in bloom. The store sells a wide variety of products, and shop clerks will choose what is suited for your taste from products that have their own characteristics.

The Nihonbashi-bijin Nori series is developed so that busy modern women can conveniently enjoy the taste of fresh-roasted nori every day and is exclusively sold in the main shop. The main shop manager Masahiro Machida says, “Fresh-roasted nori is cut into appropriate sizes according to the purpose and packed excluding moisture. Not only do you simply have to open the package to eat the nori, but we have also developed the product to allow you to enjoy the original goodness of the nori’s color/gloss, flavor, melt, and crispy texture.”

Some even say Japanese women have beautiful skin thanks to nori, which contains plenty of minerals and vitamins fostered by the ocean and the sun. One piece of nori contains the proper balance of nutrients, such as the same amount of vitamin A as in one head of lettuce, dietary fiber, calcium, and iron. Why don’t you become a Japan Beauty from Edo-Tokyo from the inside of your body with the Nihonbashi-bijin Nori series, which provides strong support for beauty and health?
